Our comfortable, air-conditioned bus makes daily trips (December - April) to area beaches, shopping malls, specialty shops, and points of interest. Shop in the boutiques of Matlacha, collect seashells on a Gulf beach, or visit the Shell Factory for that special souvenir or gift. Discover the Edison-Ford Winter Estates and the world-famous Fleamasters. With friendly, knowledgeable staff, the trip becomes part of the fun.

MORE PATH TO PEDAL
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Pine Island up close on the newly constructed island bike path. Rent a bicycle at the campground or bring your own. Walk or roller blade along the miles of paved path curving amidst mango groves, palm tree farms and lush, tropical foliage. Head into St. James City for lunch at the Waterfront Restaurant.

MANGO MANIA
Pine Island is home to the annual Mango Mania Tropical Fruit Fair. Sponsored by the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce, Mango Mania's recipe for success includes great stage entertainment with island music, magic and comedy. Add lots of great food like mango ice cream, mango drinks, mango bread and mango shrimp. Toss in displays by Pine Island's commercial tropical fruit growers and top it off with vendors selling specialty items from produce to tie-dyed shirts and unique straw hats. SOUTHWEST FLORIDA FOLK & BLUES FEST
The Southwest Florida Folk and Blues Fest offers a variety of music styles. Organized by the Matlacha Marines, this year's event will be held here, at the Ft. Myers/Pine Island KOA. AN ANGLER'S PARADISE
Pine Island's fishing heritage stretches back more than 1,700 years to the Calusa Indians who lived abundantly on the wealth and variety of seafood offered by area waters. For generations, commercial fishing has supported island families with sports fisherman discovering this paradise long ago. World-famous for its tarpon fishing, other popular game fish are snook, redfish, trout, grouper, snapper, cobia, and sheepshead. Launch your boat from one of the island's marinas or charter a boat for a day of spectacular sights and incredible fishing.

Breakfast is served Monday through Saturday from 7:30am to 10:00am. Breakfast includes all-u-can eat pancakes and choices of Egg McPatties, bagels, toast, muffins, juice, and coffee. Wake up with the KOA girls-your KOA breakfast hostesses.

A native tropical fruit- the mango- is the star attraction for 2 days each summer on Pine Island. Go wild for fresh fruit as you sample locally-grown delicacies.
